Afterschool Club

We have a house and a HUGE, WIDE-OPEN piece of land there where we can run and play together.  There will be something for everyone as we sing, have snacks, and break into groups to do "boys only stuff" and "girls only stuff."  You're going to be crazy about the Treehouse "Branches."  That's what we call the people who will volunteer to make this club happen.  You'll never meet a nicer, wiser, more fun-loving group of teens and adults.  They are experienced doing all kinds of camps for kids over many years, and they know what kids like.  Dance camps, drama camps, church camps, VBS camps, art camps, Boy Scout camps, sports camps....they've done it all.
It is amazing that they are willing to volunteer their time to come share all this fun and wisdom with Georgetown kids once a week!
That's how much they love God and love children.

Why is it called "The Treehouse" anyway????

Well, there's a neat story in the Bible where a short guy climbs a Sycamore Tree to get a view of Jesus walking by in a big crowd.  That's where we got our church name when we established it here in Savannah 20 years ago.  We want to be like that Sycamore Tree and lift people up so they can see Jesus!  Cool, huh? ( If you have a Bible, you can read the whole story in the Book of Luke Chapter 19.  If you don't, no worries!  We can tell you about it when you get to the Treehouse.  It's one of our favorite stories....obviously.  :-)

So, as we're building the Treehouse, let's "nail down" the facts you need to know:

  • The Treehouse Club is for boys and girls ages 5-12.
  • The Treehouse Club is only a suggested $10 monthly fee for supplies
  • The Treehouse Club will be every Wednesday during the school year, following the public school schedule.
  • The Treehouse Club begins at 3:30 and ends at 5:30pm.
  • The Treehouse Club is a place to be and do our best.  So it's not a place for disrespecting adults, trash-talking, aggression, or bullying of any kind.  Jesus is our role model.

Your safety is our #1 priority, so we want to get to know your family.  Your primary caregiver can click on this link to download and print a permission form that lets us know how you are getting to the Treehouse on Wednesdays and how you will get home.  You won't be allowed to leave with anybody who is not on your approved list of pick-up people.  This form will also let us know if you have any allergies or anything else we might need to know to take good care of you while you're at the Treehouse.  We can't take any chances with somebody as precious as YOU!
